April & Luis

April and Luis met in November 2015 at Wood Tavern in Wynwood, Miami. Luis was sitting at the bar watching a Miami Heat game after an eventful day at the office.  As Luis enjoyed his glass of beer he noticed the place was becoming a little too packed and he would head out soon. In the same room was April, lining up with her friends attempting to gain access to the crowded bathrooms . . . click here to continue story

April's restroom line seemed to be getting longer by the second and her position in line had now coincidentally brought her right in front of Luis. April found the sight quite odd ("why is this fine gentleman sitting in this raunchy bar in a suit? I wonder if he's alone?"). April decided to make a move :)

After conversing for a while and learning that they both were in the marketing & events industry, the two exchanged business cards (which "coincidentally" included their cell phone numbers). A few months passed and after a number of inconsistent and short text conversations between them, Luis decided that he had enough. He decided he would never text April again. April seemed to always be so "busy" and would never be available on his requested dates. Communication between them became non-existent :(

Many months passed but one day something happened that would change their lives forever. As FATE would have it,  April's Snapchat app recommended adding a familiar face as a friend. This "add a friend " suggestion was triggered by Luis' phone number still being saved in April's phone.

So she decided to add Luis as a friend, and of course, immediately started stalking his videos. That's when she knew he was THE ONE  (well, potentially). She decided to shoot her shot again, and slid in his DMs (Direct Messages).

The stage was set... April and Luis would FINALLY go on their very first date.

Their first date took place at the romantic Duffy's Sports Grill, Coconut Grove. What they thought would be a short and inconsistent first date, turned into an evening of deep conversation and discovery as they quickly learned they were made for each other. 

Day in and day out the two became deeply entrenched in each other's voices, conversations and spirits. April and Luis have been inseparable ever since that first date. It's as if their first date never truly ended. 

On February 22, 2020 they are humbled and blessed to become Husband and Wife.
